ALDEIA DE MONTESINHO
41.9384976º N; 6.7672783º W
Located in the heart of the Montesinho Natural Park, nestled in the mountains, bordering Spain, where the vivid display of landscapes, the simplicity and affection of the people, combined with a unique architecture are reasons that appeal to the visit.
IN THE WINTER
Not infrequently, we are surprised by the white mantle of snow and the stream crystallized by the harsh cold of the frosts, the one that helps to season the meat and make the typical smokehouse with a unique taste.
WALK THE STREETS OF THE VILLAGE
In any season of the year, it is possible to walk through the streets and alleys, all cobblestoned, breathe fresh air, visit the Church, the Museum and the Interpretive Nucleus, hear and see the abundant birdlife and exchange impressions with the residents who sympathetically interact and tell us typical stories of other times. In the peaceful night, it is possible to feel the silence and appreciate the intense brightness of the stars that seem to be suspended in the immensity of a clear sky.
Inserted in the Montesinho Natural Park, at an altitude of over 1000 meters, in the municipality of Bragança. Fully recovered but genuine, it is made up of several houses that maintain the popular architecture of Trás-os-Montes, built in granite with slate roofs and wooden balconies, a place of coziness.
The pedestrian path, about 10 km long, leads along trails that also include the villages of França and Portelo.
It is a visit of contrasts, where the green of the pastures mixes with flowers of all colors and the red of the forests.
