Torre de Moncorvo, although often simply called Moncorvo, is a Portuguese village of medium size, belonging to the district of Bragança, North Region and sub-region of the Douro, with 2 891 inhabitants (2011).
It is the seat of a municipality with 531.56 km² in area and 8 572 inhabitants (2011), subdivided into 13 parishes. The municipality is limited to the north by the municipalities of Vila Flor, Alfândega da Fé and Mogadouro, to the southeast by Freixo de Espada à Cinta, to the southwest by Vila Nova de Foz Côa, and to the west by Carrazeda de Ansiães. Its Mother Church is one of the largest churches in Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. It is about 30 meters high.
In 2013, Torre de Moncorvo, with 2.5 births per thousand inhabitants, was the municipality where the gross birth rate was lowest in Portugal.

Torre de Moncorvo is a mining area. The deal was concluded by Aethel Partners on February 5th, 2020, and the iron ore exploration in the Moncorvo Mines was reactivated on March 1st, 2020. The British company expects to extract 300000 tons of iron concentrate by the end of 2020.
