Sambade is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Alfândega da Fé, with an area of 31.49 km² and 475 inhabitants (2011). Its population density is 15.1 inhabitants / km².
The village of Sambade is the largest in the municipality of Alfândega da Fé.
The village of Sambade is located on the southern slope of the Serra de Bornes.
It borders on the north with Soeima and Bornes (Macedo de Cavaleiros), on the east with Agrobom, on the south with Alfândega da Fé and Valleys, and on the west with Vilares da Vilariça and Burga (Macedo de Cavaleiros).
The Sambade Dam, in Ribeira do Fonte do Atalho, supplies part of the municipalities of Vila Flor and Alfândega da Fé.

Economy
It was an important center for the production of wool, linen, and silk, which was then its main wealth. In fact, the village was known as the land of carders, a profession to which many of the inhabitants dedicated themselves. Even today, pastoralism and agriculture are the main economic activities, especially chestnut production.
